Trisha's Spirit

model: Trisha Lurie  makeup: Octavio  wardrobe: Kia Bryant

The most challenging and the most rewarding aspect of this project was the color grading. As the last picture of the gallery shows Trisha originally had a tanned skin and a coloful tattoo both of which were incosistent with the theme of both the makeup and the wardrobe.

In fact the photos were taken behind the scenes of a music video shoot at the request of the makeup and costume artists.

My objective in the coloring was to give the photos a theme-driven coherent look without resorting to an easy solution like sepia coloring. Therefore, first, I opted in changing the skin color into a marble like white giving the model a ghostly look. Then I constructed a color scheme where the dark blues and greens of the dress and the environment and the shades of the makeup came together in harmony, eliminating all other distracting colors from the palette..
